Owner FAQ
Short answers about setting up, moving from a paper register and what happens if you stop paying.
How do I set up INDRA for my homestay?
Sign up and choose “Hotel, homestay or guest house”. Then add your rooms and rates under Front desk, Rooms and rates. After that you can enter bookings, check guests in, and send a bill. You can try all of this first in the homestay demo. If you want us to do the first set-up with you, book a call.
I keep my bookings in a paper register. Can INDRA take it over?
INDRA cannot read a paper register, and it has no import for old bookings yet. You add your rooms once, then enter bookings as they come or the ones you already hold. Past bookings do not have to be entered. At check-in INDRA keeps only the last four characters of a guest’s ID number, so keep your register or ID copies the way the law asks you to.
What happens if I stop paying?
The software itself has no switch that locks your business when an invoice is unpaid. What VritantaNextGen does about an unpaid invoice, and how long your data is kept after you leave, is to be confirmed by VritantaNextGen. Before you leave you can download your day book (CSV), Tally-style vouchers and the receipts bundle from the app, and you can ask us to delete your data. See the privacy notice and the terms.
Does a listing on the hub manage my bookings?
No. A listing on the hub shows your homestay and sends travellers’ enquiries to you. Only a homestay that runs on INDRA Stay shows its real free nights.
